The weather here in DC has been unseasonably warm and I’ve got to say I’m kind of bummed about it. I adore winter weather because I adore winter wear.
It is always a great experience creating with like-minded individuals. Spending hours with a creative soul does wonders for your own creativity. And the past Moonrise DC Meet was no exception.
If you are anything like me– and by that I mean, you have 9 nieces and nephews- 6 of which are under the age of 10,– then holidays are spent playing freeze dance (the kiddies FAVORITE game), watching movies, and generally just lounging around the house.
I personally met Virgina Arrisueño from De Nada a little over a month ago and I instantly made a connection with her. She was so sweet and we were able to strike up a conversation as if we had known each other for years. I had connected with her through email and Instagram, but it was so great to finally have met her in person. After meeting her, I knew she was someone who I would love to stay connected to and I was excited (to say the least) when I found out that her and her husband, artist Kelly Towles, were putting together PARCEL Market DC, an outdoor, holiday market showcasing local brands + restaurants.
