Snow has a way of bringing out such a romantic side in me and perhaps in all of us. Isn’t the best thing in the world to watch the snow fall? The world quiet and your soul relaxing as the ground disappears and is replaced with a blanket of pure enchantment. Everything is transformed and you see your world with new eyes for the first time in a long time. Snow always does that for me and it was so great to experience that feeling again yesterday. Yesterday was perhaps the last day which we were going to get potential snow. Because of this, spending the majority of the day outdoors enjoying the last snow was on the top of the to-do list.
Now I know a lot of you are over winter and snow, but can you imagine how glorious warmth is going to feel when winter is over? I think changing seasons help us not take simple things for granted. Knowing that soon it will be winter lets us appreciate that last bit of sunshine that is left in autumn. And knowing that it will be another year until the world looks as magical as this again helps us live in the present at least for one more day.
So my challenge for you today is, get out there & enjoy the last bit of this beautiful season. See it with new eyes. Play in the snow. Get a little cold. Know that it’s only here once a year and appreciate what is left of it. Soon you’ll have sunshine and flowers but remember, things that are rushed are never as cherished as those that take time.
