I’ve been trying to step out of my DC comfort zone and explore more parts of the city. What’s great about living in the DMV is that you have so much diversity. There’s the “big” city experience of DC, but you also have smaller cities in Virginia and Maryland. Aside from cities, you can also explore the rural areas of Maryland + Virginia. There’s really something for everyone here in this little city of ours.

Sometimes it’s best to explore a town with as little knowledge of it as possible. Let your feet guide you through it and leave all your expectations behind. There’s no telling what you’ll find when you aren’t looking for anything.

We like to live by a strong little motto here at Moonrise & everyday we tell ourselves the same thing: Go On.

So go on, explore that part of town you’ve never been to before. Go on, strike up a conversation with strangers. Go on, walk until your feet can’t take you any further. Go on, make those unplanned memories. Just Go On.
