Every once in a while, I play tourist in my own city.
DC is so rich in art and culture that you can’t help by feel inspired each and every day. I visited the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery for a meeting & decided to stay and explore. I visited the American Cool exhibit and was so inspired by all the photographs of icons taken throughout the years. My favorite photo had to be the one of Joan Didion. She exudes such effortless sexiness in this picture & I love how simple yet intriguing the capture is.
This museum has got to be one of my favorites in the city. Every room is entirely different. And each exhibit leaves you with a wide range of emotions! I experienced some serious inspiration overload today.
It’s always so fun to visit the museums and soak in all this city has to offer.
What do you do in your city to stay inspired? I’d love to know!
About this look:
To stay comfortable while walking around the city, I paired these Just Fab slip-ons with some olive green skinnies. I added a tank with crotchet details & my trusty jean jacket to combat the chill in the air.
XO.
